Happy Black Friday loves! I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving with friends and family! Mine was spent making delicious food, catching up with family, watching football, and getting a visit from my best friend! The day could not have been more perfect and left me feeling so grateful for all that I have been given and am continued to be blessed with. Rather then posting about the various Black Friday sales, I am choosing to participate in Anne's currently post. I thought it was the perfect way to recap all the things I am currently thankful for and thinking about...

Making: nothing as of now, I am hoping to start a few DIY Christmas gifts in the next few weeks!

Cooking: yet again nothing- the night before Thanksgiving my mom, gram, and I stayed up so late cooking everything for Thursday that I think I am exhausted from cooking for a bit.

Drinking: dark roast coffee with a bit of almond milk

Reading: Girls in White Dresses by Jennifer Close

Wanting: a pair of Hunter boots for the upcoming snow/rainy season.

Looking: at my sweet dog, Corduroy. I love getting to come home and see his cute face!

Playing: Lately I have been majorly on a Frank Sinatra kick. He's always been a favorite of mine, especially around the holidays.

Sewing: that would definitely be a no, not a sewer.

Wishing: I didn't have to head back to Richmond and work tomorrow and Saturday. Spending these 2 days at home has been so nice and I am so sad I won't be home again until Christmas!

Enjoying: Still so exciting I was able to see my best friend, Alison last night! She and her boyfriend drove to my house after her own Thanksgiving and I could not be more grateful for the extra time with her!

Waiting: To go see the new Hunger Games movie! I can't wait to pick a day next week and make a movie date out of it.

Liking: The idea of having one more home game next weekend to watch the Pirates play! They play today at 12 and if they pull off a win they will host the CUSA Conference Championship next weekend! So happy to be off that weekend AND have another chance to cheer on the Pirates and catch up with friends!

Wondering: If I'll sneak out to a few of the sales today, really wanting to check Gap, Anthropologie, and Nordstroms Rack.

Loving: The recipe I tried out for a new Thanksgiving appetizer- Roasted Brussel Sprouts with Garlic Aioli (recipe to come)

Hoping: I have a big staff meeting this upcoming week and will be presenting a lot of new ideas- I hopeful they are all received well!

Marveling: How much stuff I managed to bring home for a 2 day trip... I could stay home for a month with all these clothes I have.

Needing: a Clarisonic... I used my mom's while I've been home and I love the way it leaves my skin feeling soft and refreshed.

Smelling: Voluspa Santiago Huckleberry... smells amazing.

Wearing: Standard uniform these days consists of boots, leggings, shirt, and either my field or quilted jacket.

Noticing: how things change the older you get. A few years ago I would have never missed the night before Thanksgiving shenanigans with my friends from home and definitely would have been up at the crack of dawn shopping today. Now I am so much more content spending the extra time with my family.

Knowing: the drive back to Richmond is going to anything but fun.

Thinking: about when I should face reality and head back to Richmond.

Bookmarking: Christmas DIY gifts

Wrapping: nothing yet- I need to get on my Christmas shopping!

Giggling: thinking about Corduroy barking and growling at the TV yesterday during the dog show.

Feeling: cozy, blessed, content.

There's no telling what the rest of the day has in store for me, maybe I'll hit up a few of the sales, maybe I won't get out of my PJs, or maybe I'll head out to meet friends to watch the Pirates play. No matter what I do, I am so thankful for these 2 days at home and eagerly awaiting Christmas to spent more time with my friends and family!

Yours truly,
Emily
