To Chop it or Not

Before making my big move to Richmond, I decided I wanted a fresh start and made the decision to chop my hair off. I've always had super long hair but had thinking about cutting it for so long but could never commit to actually doing it. One day I decided enough was enough and I made the appointment to cut my hair. I may sound a little dramatic but it honestly was a HUGE decision for me and definitely put me outside my comfort zone. When the time came for my actual appointment, I didn't cry or have a huge meltdown, it was very relaxed and felt almost therapeutic. Now almost a year and half later I'm back at the tough decision to chop it off or let it keep growing. My hair is by no means as long as it once was, but we are definitely at the awkward stage or growing it out. Here are a few pictures of my hair and different stages...

My sweet little and myself before the chop!

Long long long

Post a few weeks after moving to Richmond

Even went a little shorter at one point

Finally growing out and long enough to curl!

Taken this past weekend (not judging my costume) Hair is the longest its been since I cut it but also very thick and heavy.

So should I keep throwing this mane out of make the chop?

Yours truly,
Emily

It looks cute at each length! I always go shorter in the winter as my scarf wraps better with no hair on my neck!! Just have fun with your hair...it will always grow back!

I love the length nowwww. I think I may be the only woman who likes middle length hair...

Love it both ways - but you are lucky you can rock the short cut, not everyone can!

I adore you with shorter hair! I think when you had it right at shoulder length or maybe even a little above is perfect on you :) But my hair is hard to grow so I always opt for shorter hair...but I agree with Ann on shorter hair for winter months!

Love your medium length! Long enough to throw up, but short enough not to take FOREVER to do in the morning. I understand about the thick, heavy hair though...I chopped mine about 2 years ago and won't go back! xo

You look great with any length! Personally I love the length that's an inch or 2 below your shoulders. It's supposed to be universally flattering on everyone!

I'm currently having the same dilemma! I'm trying to grow mine out long again to donate, but really miss my short hair. Mine is about your current length and I just always wear it up, out of the way.

I have been trying to grow my hair out forever and am convinced it grows at a snails pace. Your long hair is SO pretty!
