Alright y'all, I don't get deep on the blog a lot but I am feeling the need to have a little vent session. I saw this video the other day and although its meant to be taken as a joke, I couldn't have found it more applicable to my life right now.

I am in younger part of my mid 20s.
Single.
In a new city where its still a struggle to meet new people.
I work all the time and don't get me wrong, I love my job but I work well over 40 hours because I feel like this is the time in my life that I can. I'm not married or have kids and at the end of the day I love leaving work feeling like I have done everything I needed that day and more.
There are nights when I would much rather have my face washed, teeth brushed, and be in bed by 10.
Broke would not even begin to describe my finances. No one else has a savings account right? And before you wonder, well if your working a lot shouldn't you be making a lot?... this girl is salary but believe me if I was hourly... I would be rich.
So aren't things supposed to be a bit different at this point in my life? Shouldn't I be living it up, going out, making friends, going on dates, hopping around to happy hours, spending my weekends shopping or traveling to see friends? I mean don't get my wrong- I have made some wonderful friends here in Richmond and I do go to happy hours and frequent Short Pump a bit too much which probably leads to me being broke. However I do feel like I am missing out on things and that I should be experiencing and doing more. Does anyone else feel this way or am I just a weirdo?
How do you feel about your 20s?
Yours truly,
Em

I saw the same video and couldn't stop laughing! So far my twenties have definitely been an adventure!
This is the perfect description of 20s! I am in the mid-late twenties and I almost can't wait for 30 - just to feel settled! I completely relate to wanting to be home and in bed by 10, to working too hard for a salary v. hourly, and to always wondering if you shouldn't be "living it up more."
