Today I am sharing the first part of my trip out to San Francisco! I had never been to California before and can't even begin to describe how much I loved San Francisco! Here's the first few days of my trip...
I arrived Tuesday early evening and took the BART system into downtown San Francisco to meet my friend Angelica who I was stay with for the week. We dropped my stuff at Angelica's and headed to dinner with a few of her friends and made a few pit stops so I could marvel at the city skyline and catch a few pictures...
The view was absolutely amazing and the sunset was just perfect.
For dinner we headed to Nick's Crispy Tacos and while the name may sound kind of cheesy, the tacos and atmosphere were amazing. Every Tuesday Nicks does a special on tacos and to say it gets crowded is an understatement...
It was absolutely packed with people watching the Clippers game and enjoying their tacos. I opted their veggie tacos and they definitely didn't disappoint along with their pitcher of margarita!
Wednesday Angelica had to work so I was up early and explored some classics of San Francisco...
Almost every morning I grabbed a latte and breakfast from a cafe right near Angelica's apartment Cafe Francisco- it was amazing and I highly suggest if you are traveling to SF or in the North Beach area. Their lattes are out of this world and everything is so fresh and yummy!
Most of Wednesday was spent walking around Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39. Both are big tourist spots but still fun to check out.
One of my favorite things about Pier 39 was definitely the Sea Lions!
I visited the Sea Lions almost every day, sometimes more then once and could not get enough of them. They were so interesting to watch and definitely one of my favorite things from my trip.
Wednesday once Ang was off work we headed to the Marina area to meet some friends of hers for Wing Night at Lightening Tavern.
Being that I don't eat wings, I was all too excited when I saw they had tots on the menu and ended up having that for dinner. The Marina area is really great and had tons of restaurants and great shops like Gap, Benefit, Brandy Melville, and Lulu Lemon. It's also not that far away from some of the parks that overlook the Golden Gate.
Thursday was spent with more exploring near Angelica's and then meeting up with more friends that had arrived to SF for the weekend. That night we headed back out to the Marina district to walk around and grabbed sushi at The Naked Fish...
One of the things we ordered was the Fire Cracker Balls and they were literally out of this world. I normally don't go for fried sushi but couldn't turn down trying these and so glad I didn't.
The Naked Fish also gives you complimentary edamame, definitely a score once we got there and were starving!
Look for the rest of the trip this week including Napa and Sausalito!
Hope everyone has a great start to the week!
