Vacation Recap+ Recovering This Week

As many of you know, last week I took my first week off since starting my new job a little over a year ago. Since starting work, I feel like I hit the ground not running, but sprinting! I work close to 60 hours a week most week, and also work a good handful of weekends each month. I have taken days off here or there to give me a long weekend away but a full week off was definitely in order after an insane and sad few months at work. 

Here's a few pictures of how we spent the week-

Enter- Girls getaway week at the shore! I was able to spend 5 days at the beach with 5 of my girlfriends and to say we had a good time would be a serious understatement! We went to the beach everyday, ate food that was bad for us, drank lots and lots of wine, and spent a few nights dancing the night away. It was honestly just what I needed and I would be lying if I said I didn't already plan my next getaway from work to the same beach... with the same friends in a few weeks! Good thing round 2 is just a few weeks away and I have lots of things to keep me busy until then like 2 weekend trips, 1 weekend of work + visitors in town, AND my birthday! Talk about a busy few weeks coming up!

As for this week... it has taken me a little time to recover from my week vacation and by recover I mean I am being absolutely lazy! I have not worked out once this week... gross I know! Laundry... lets not even go there other then to mention if I don't do it tonight I will have NO clothes to wear this weekend. I did manage to make it to the grocery store on Monday and have only been eating extremely clean since I've been back. Anyone else struggle after returning from vacation?

Back to Reality- Monday Mantra

Hey Y'all I am officially back from my vacation but needing a bit more time to settle in. I didn't get back into Richmond until 7:15 this morning and am now off to work!

Happy 4th of July!

Happy 4th of July everyone! 

The fourth of July is by FAR my favorite holiday, I love the colors, its warm out, everyone is together celebrating, the fireworks, cookouts... I just love it. As you know I am at the beach celebrating with my friends and family and while I am so excited to be with them, it's important to keep in mind those serving our amazing country. For all those who can not be with their families today and are serving overseas... cheers to you!

As of this morning this girl is beach bound... shore bound to be exact as I will be heading to Avalon, NJ! I know what you might be thinking and let me assure you that  Avalon is NOTHING like the "jersey shore" and I have been going since I was a little girl. I will be meeting up with 5 of my closest girlfriends and can't wait to have some time off work, relax in the sun, and catch up with everyone! We will be staying until Sunday but which seems like so long from now but I know time will fly by!

As pretty much everyone knows by now, Google has gotten rid of their reader which has caused a major shift in how I catch up on my blogs. However, enter Bloglovin and the day is saved! I really like the way this reader allows you to see what posts you have read, because lets be honest- sometimes I fall way behind in reading some of my favorites. I will admit that one of my favorite Saturday or Sunday morning things to do is catch up on reading blogs- it is so relaxing and I love reading what everyone has been up to!

Necessities For Summer- Beauty Bag

Lately as I have been packing for the beach and getting things ready, I found myself wanting to shop more and more for new beauty products. It's been a long time since I had my last splurge at Sephora or Ulta and I am thinking I am way overdue. Especially with all these hot humid days we have been having, a girl needs some serious products to not look like a melted mess.
