My favorite things about thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Sorry I have not posted the last few days, the days before I left for home were crazy at work and I barley had time to sleep! I could not be more excited to be home with my family and friends! I decide to share a few of my favorite things about Thanksgiving!

- Being with my family! Living 6 hours away its not that easy for me to hop in the car and head home for a weekend. I am totally loving being at home and spending time with my wonderful family!

- Also living so far away from home I don't get to see my friends from home that much and I am so excited I have a long weekend to spend seeing everyone and catching up!

- Obviously the food for thanksgiving! While I do not enjoy the actual turkey portion of the meal I love everything else including sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce( the kind from a can), and stuffing!

- RELAXING. I cant wait to take advantage of this break I have from work and just relax. I definitely should have brought some work to do with me but my mindset was totally on Thanksgiving Break!

- Spending time with my dog, Corduroy!

New songs needed and a sangria recipe...

We meet again Monday, I like you no more this week than I did last week, except for the fact that on Wednesday I will be heading home to MD to see my family and friends for Thanksgiving!

Today I worked 10 hours...gross but did receive a note from a patient I had been working a lot with that was discharged over the weekend.

He made it like a postcard and on the back was this messge...

Im tearing again as I type it. This is what makes my unpaid internship completely worth it.

Tomorrow I work until 6 again and then will be getting ready for my long drive on Wednesday! I am looking to make a few CD's for my ride and was hoping anyone could suggest some new music?!

Also on Wednesday night I have a few friends coming over before we head to the bar, I am looking to make some sort of sangria and was wondering if anyone had made an at home sangria and what they used! I don't want anything too sweet but am always open for suggestions!



Weekend Recap- super relaxing!

What a great weekend! My weekend consisted of me doing nothing, nothing and a little more nothing! It was exactly what I needed and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute.

Friday night consisted of going out for a few one glass of wine with my roommate and getting a little tipsy. I know... tipsy off 3 glasses of wine..embarassing.

Saturday I was up early to run a few errands which included stopping by one of my favorite stores...

I have the absolute best luck at TJ maxx and got super lucky again on this particular trip. I would love to show you what I got but I will wait until I actually wear it. I will say however that I got it for $48.00 and it was originally $150... so excited!

Also on Saturday I watched this movie on my laptop...

This was a very cute movie... until it got to the end where it left you wondering why you had just sat there for an hour and half and watched it. Yea it was one of those.

Next believe it or not I headed to the gym! I had a great workout and ended up hopping on the treadmill and ran 2.5 miles and power walked the last half mile. Although 2.5 miles doesnt sound like a lot or a big deal, this girl has not run in such a long time it was all I could do but I am looking forward to working out again this week!

I also took the liberty of ordering sushi takeout for myself and stayed in and relaxed on Saturday night!

Sunday consisted of me taking a trip to Barnes and Noble and attempted to visit the Dean and Deluca uptown...only to find out its closed Saturday and Sundays! I was very dissapointed but am hoping to try it after I get back from Thanksgiving.

Also while I was at Barnes and Noble I began reading this great book...

Already being obsessed with this author, I immediately picked up the book when I saw it and began reading it. This book is amazing and I can't wait to finish it. Also when you buy the book, another book will be donated! I highly suggest you pick up a copy!

Friday favorites

First off, I want to thank everyone for the sweet comments that were left after my bad day yesterday! Combination of my internship and boys... it was quite a day but thank you so much for the love! Today was much better and I could not be happier it is Friday!!!

This weekend I will be doing all the things I have been wanting to for weeks but have not had the time to do because I have been out of town! As for tonight I am heading out with one of my roommates for a night on the town! Promise a good post for tomorrow!

Hey It's Ok...

I could not be more excited that it is Thursday! Although I do have to work tomorrow, I am leaving work tomorrow at 2:40 to ::drum roll please:: GET MY HAIRCUT! I know it seems like just last week I got my hair cut and purchased Moroccan Oil for the first time but unfortunately my hair grows like a weed and it is even longer than last time! I might compare my hair to what Medusas looked like. I am also extremely excited for this weekend because for the first time in a month I am not going out of town! Shocking I know, but I can't wait to spend the weekend doing something I have wanted to do for a longgg time (I'll share tomorrow!)

As for today... Hey It's Ok that...

- I have yet to do any of the things I wanted to do this week including: work out, incorporate more salmon and spinach in my diet, and drink more water..FAIL

- To have bought a starbucks gift card for myself so that I can become a rewards member and get free syrup and milk upgrades. ( I always get soymilk so this is totally worth it)

- I've had a glass of wine every night when I've gotten home from work except 1..not proud

- Im too excited for my weekend to do absolutely nothing

- The only thought getting me through until I go home for thanksgiving break is seeing all of my friends on Wednesday for some downtown Annapolis shenanigans

- to have a mental breakdown and just need a cry sesh, happens to the best of us

- that the only person you really want to talk to during these cry sessions is your mom :)

I am not a fan of today, it has not been a good one. I plan on making a frozen pizza, and drinking a glass of wine (I'll break the habit next week), and catch up on new girl and greys.
